Botanical drawing and design studies
An ongoing practice of drawing from observation. Study of flora and fauna with a focus on flowers, wings, insects and leaves. Drawings are completed as figure-ground studies- solid shapes of one or two colors of ink for later translation into vector pattern designs.
The studies below include the materials of white pencil on black paper, black in on white paper and red and black ink on white paper.
